Oulu Drivers Born to be Wild

Posted on July 2nd, 2012 by News Editor in News, Uncategorized

People in Oulu are increasingly driving dangerously fast, according to the city’s police.

According to a police spokesman, drivers have been caught driving as fast as 200km per hour around Oulu. As a consequence, police are going to plough resources into enforcing the speed limit on the area’s motorways.

The summer normally sees people driving faster, but even Oulu police are surprised by how much harder than usual people are pressing their foot on the accelerator.

The spokesman emphasised his view that speeding is always ‘gross negligent’ because it makes a crash more likely.

Police spokesman’s surprised? OK, I’m lethal on my Jopo bicycle, but I always thought that the centre of Oulu is the ‘red-light district’ of Finland.
A sight never seen in Oulu…
