Region Gripped by Thick Fog
Those commuting into work from the suburbs awoke to a problem yesterday morning – extremely thick fog.
The fog enveloped the coast in the early hours and was thickest in the Oulu area leading to very difficult driving conditions.
Moving inland and south the fog lifted and had evaporated in Oulu by around 10am.
But the break in severe weather won’t last long.
The Meteorological Institute have predicted possible further storms this evening and rain throughout the week.
