A masked man robbed Grilli in Patela in the early hours of Saturday morning, brandishing an unusual weapon.
Menacing the cashier with a metre long piece of tubing, he managed to persuade him to keep out of the way while he snatched a small amount of money from the till.
The man escaped on foot in the direction of nearby Raamipolku at about 1.30am. Patela is in the extreme north west of Oulu, next to the sea.
