Life Lost in Motorbike Accident

A man lost his life on 17th July in a motorbike accident in Oulu.

The tragic accident occurred between Liitintie and Tapsitie, near the Heikkinharju area of the city.

The motorcyclist was seemingly taken by surprise by a lorry and crashed into it. A doctor declared that motorcyclist to be dead at the scene and the area was cordoned off for an hour. Police are investigating the incident further.

The incident comes just two weeks after a motorcycle crash in Liminka, just outside Oulu. The speeding motorcyclist spotted a police car and breaked sharply, catapulting him into the central reservation of the motorway. His motorbike crashed into the reservation and was written off. His motorcyclist had been travelling at 140 km/h before breaking.
