Over 200 customers of Sampo Bank had a shock in store when they found that they'd been charged money for using various Oulu companies that they'd never used, including the bar Otto K.
The mistake came to light when they looked at their bank statements and found they'd made purchases which they had no memory whatsoever of making.
According to Kaleva, this included 'ghost purchases' at the Oulu bar Otto K which customers either hadn't been to or hadn't been to for a very long time.
Otto K's manager Kimmo Lämsä referred to the mistake as 'sad', claimed it had never occurred before and was generally incredibly apologetic.
Sampo bank's chairman, Hannu Kuoka, claimed that the mistake had somehow occurred because they were drawing on 'old information' from Otto K.
Sampo bank was established in 1887 in Helsinki. It was bought up by Danske Bank, a Danish bank, in 2007.
