I usually glance through the multitude of paper advertisements which arrive through the mailbox to see what’s on special. Unfortunately I am one of the illiterate who cannot understand Finnish and consider myself too old to learn the language well, but the advertisements all have pictures and, of course, ‘a picture tells a thousand words. I often wonder how many others do the same or do you miss out on some ‘good’ specials. So here’s my pick of this week’s best buys in Oulu shops and supermarkets.
Pukumies – on Friday and Saturday only - 20% off everything marked with the normal price
Stockmann – Norwegian mussels - €5.95/kg
