Welcome to a guided tour in English at the Oulu Art Museum (Kasarmintie 7, Oulu city centre) on Sunday, November 27th at 14.00 o'clock.
The tour presents two Finnish exhibitions: Family Portrait and The Cloud of Unknowing - Kristiina Uusitalo.
The tour will last around 45 min., and is included into the entrance fee (3 € for adults, 1 € for students).

The Family Portrait exhibition art is about various patterns in a family. Themes that come up in the works are for example motherhood, fatherhood, the relationship of a couple, children and their world, everyday life in a family, and divorce. The core of the exhibition consists of about seventy works from the late 1990s and early 2000s. The works are mostly gathered from the collections of the Oulu City Art Museum.

Kristiina Uusitalo’s (b. 1959) exhibition, until now largest solo exhibition, displays the painter’s works from the recent years: her thematic series of paintings and collages with photographs as their base. The starting point of the works is Finnish nature both as geographically localisable landscape and imaginary circumstances and material for sublime experiences.
