The construction group SRV’s will establish a regional office in Oulu in March. The move is seen as further evidence of the importance of Oulu as a growing city.

The SRV Group is a developer of integrated construction projects. It applies its operating model to the entire construction process: project development, construction under the project management model and the commercialisation of the project. The Group operates in Finland, the Baltic countries and Russia.

‘We consider Oulu to be one of the fastest developing cities in Finland, and we want to be part of the building activities in this area,’ says Juha-Veikko Nikulainen, SRV’s executive vice president for housing and regional operations. SRV has created well-designed concepts for residential construction, and we want to utilise these also in the Oulu region, says Nikulainen.

SRV’s offering includes project and property development, investment planning, design and construction. It is operational through three business areas: Business Premises, offering shopping centers, retail parks, offices, hotels and logistic centers; Housing and Regional, providing apartments, terraced house projects and leisure homes, and International engaged in commercial and housing projects in Russia and the Baltic States. The Company is headquartered in Helsinki.

In addition to housing projects, SRV’s operations in Oulu include other construction projects and contracting. The company has already concluded some agreements for land areas in Oulu. SRV is also taking part in the developing of the Western Toppila area.
Kimmo Hummasti has been appointed area manager of SRV Northern Finland. The head office in Helsinki will collaborate with the new office on cost estimation, purchasing and administration.
