Oulu Art Museum's Exhibition area closed this week until the end of September for a new series of exhibits to be erected.
The museum's main art gallery will remain closed until 25th September. According to museum authorities, it will take them around three weeks to install their upcoming exhibition 'Avara horisontti' (Open Horizons) which will include a large array works by artists whose 'meeting point' was the Liminka Art School.
Established in 1892, the art school is one of the country's oldest 'Folk Colleges.' The new exhibition will last until the 22nd November.
Featured artists will include William Dennisuk who has exhibited all over the world and lectured at the prestigious Ann Arbor University of Michigan. Also on view will be the works of Ville Ranta who gained some international fame in 2006 by publishing his own cartoons of the Prophet Mohammed.
