65 Degrees North is a new, dynamic, international newspaper made by a group of dedicated expatriates, who generously give their time and expertise, to inform internationals with an interest in Oulu as well as to contribute to the promotion of Oulu as an international city.

The idea of the newspaper was born in 2004. With a core group of writers, photographers, proof-readers and web designers from Romania, the USA, Germany, the UK, the Philippines and the Netherlands, the first steps were undertaken to explore the style, content and possibilities for the first English printed newspaper version in Oulu.

It is early days and we welcome your suggestions on how the service might be improved.  We hope that 65 Degrees North will be useful in sharing information about local news and events. If you have any comments on the contents of the newspaper or you would like to write voluntarily, we would like to hear from you. Your input will help us to develop this paper according to the needs and interests of our readers.
