Free, organised play ground activities are offered in five Oulu playgrounds in June. The City of Oulu organises activities for children between 4 and 10 in Myllyojanpuisto, Kontiokankaanpuisto in Maikkula, Ojakankaanpuisto in Kaakkuri, Palosuonpuisto in Pateniemi and Karjakentänpuisto in Kuivasjärvi.

Besides the traditional yard games and sport activities, the children experience arts and crafts using nature’s own materials and explore the local park flora and fauna.

ImageMore than one in seven doctor tenures are vacant in Oulu council’s medical centres, reports Kaleva. Of the 70 positions, 20 staff members are on leave of absence and 10 further positions stand vacant. It seems harder and harder to find substitutes.
