Sometimes a film hits every nerve. Australia, a tribute by Moulin Rouge director Baz Luhrman to his homeland, attempts to bring to our attention the mistreatment of Aboriginal children, the so-called ‘Stolen Generation’ forcefully taken from their families to be brought up in “civilisation.”
