With 35 formal members from 19 countries and growing, the Oulu International women’s club welcomes new members to join and take part in a variety of activities, trips, and meetings that foster goodwill, friendship and understanding, reflect each member’s personal interests, and help you better adapt to Oulu.
We plan at least one main activity per month. The common language of the club is English, and the club year runs from January 1 to December 31.

Activities for March include Moonlight skiing, cooking classes for Asian food. As the summer ends, Autumn includes a photography event: My Time in Finland.
After Work Wine, new for 2008, invites club members to meet every first Friday in the month for wine and chat. On Home Evenings we invite each other into our houses.
The Mother and Children group meets bi-weekly offering mothers a change to swap advice and get up to speed on how to where to buy the best nappies.
Pub Evenings, every third Thursday of the month, expat females convene at a different pub each time, for a girl’s night out.
The Hiking group, taking advantage of the excellent local wildlife and scenery, meets regularly.
The Theatre and Music group knows where the best drama is and what music events to attend.
